Tracking the "hiring source" in e1

Hi, I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions for the best place to record an employee's hiring source (e.g. Employee Refrerral, Website Applicant, Internal Applicant, etc.) within e1? We don't have many category codes left on the employee master, so I'm not wanting to really take up that space. We also don't use eRecruit or other recruitment software.
