Item already exists in the organization Please use a different item name/number

I am importing Inventory Items using interface table MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_INTERFACE. I am getting error message "Item 503821 already exists in the organization WMD. Please use a different item name/number."

Item with segment1 value 503821 exists only in master organisation not in WMD(The Organization where I am loading the Item).  Has any one faced this kind of problem and Is there any fix to it.
