Salesperson Assignment to Service Contracts

Hi All,

We have a requirment to auto-assign the salesrep to the service contracts. Standard functionality suggests to use Territory Management however the relationship between terriroty and salesperson is 1:1. Is there any other way we can do this without using territory management.

One alternative that i could think of is to map the salesrep at party/customer level and create a concurrent program to fetch the details and insert the same in the contract.Appreciate if you guys can help me on this. The idea is to have minimal and user friendly customization.
