DBCA Does Not Delete Files On ASM When Deleting RAC Database

DBCA completed its task of deleting the database but it didnt delete files on ASM while deleting RAC database. It seems we had issue defined in Doc ID: 1558004.1.
Now since the database is not there, is it ok to manually drop the datafiles from ASM or is there any appropriate way to delete associated files in that database?
