existing report and new report i used same function,but is giving different values.

hi,user said one debtor ledger opening balance showing wrong value.
in that report they calculate opening balances through functions.
if i run that function in toad is it is showing value :1135561.
if i run report builder for existing report it showing value of:2202616.
i created new reports i run report it showing value:1135561.
why old report is showing different value .
pl any one can tell me.
what could be reason for that.
i tried many way still it is giving 2202616 in old reports.
