Inserting images dynamically in BI Publisher 11g

Hi ,

We are working on  POC  of inserting  images (dynamically) in BIP reports . [example business senario : examination admit cards with candidate details and respective images]

 BIP application  is integrated  with Siebel (fresh installation) . Both the appliaction are installed on Linux (2 separate servers, 2 different  users but same user group)

We are using  MS Word 2010 (32 bit  on Windows 7) for template creation.

We have few querries :

1. What should be the location of the image ? on siebel server,bip server or a shared location accessible to BIP application or siebel application
2. If shared location then how to achieve this set up
3. The syntax of URL to be mentioned in "Alt Text" section  for example
