Open balances list definition ( AP trial balances) issue

HI,

Fully piad invoices are showing in AP trial balances so i tried to reload open balaces listing definition and When tried to reload ....the application is giving an below error

Row 3 Error - This account is already assigned to the current definition. Please enter a unique account.
after futher digging to the error we came to know that there are many duplicates accounts (ccid )in the definition. total account 7130 account and out of which 2594 unique accounts.
1) what is the impact of having duplicates in open balaces listing definition
2) how do i remove the duplicates.
