Restore back to time and then restore back to furture

there is a strange requirement to restore the database to last sunday..once the restore is performed we want to again restore the database back as it is today..is this possible at all?
we don't have the space to do a duplicate/clone the database ..all backups are taken to tape using commvault.

If i restore the database to last sunday...i think all the backups which were taken after that will become invalid..
