Asset Category Life Setup VS Web ADI Life in Months Question

Hi,

I have defined a Category with Depreciation Method STL and Life in Years 1

When I created an asset via Web ADI I complete the value of the 'Life in Months' field with '36' (3 years).

I posted the addition and the asset was created with life = 1 year.

I was expecting that the life entered when uploading the addition with the Web ADI will override the life setup for the Category but this didn't happen.

Is this the intended functionality? Do I need to manually change the life in the Prepare Mass Additions window after uploading the addition via Web ADI?
