Delete UPC in SIM

I have a problem where SKU and UPC associations are different between RMS and SIM.
We have confirmed that RMS is correct. Now I have to delete the incorrect SKU/UPC in SIM.

Can I delete the UPC from AS_ITM table or is there any procedure that needs to be followed to get the SKU-UPC associations correct
