Service Contracts - Entitled Contracts Issue

Hi,

We created service contracts as active status in service contracts module independent of service contracts effective start date. (So service contract status is active instead of Signed) For example our service contract effective start date is 23-Sep-2013 so that contract effective start date is not before or equal sysdate.  When we trying to open service ticket with this contract, we couldn't link contract with service ticket.

And we got the following error.

The selected contract is not eligible for entitlement. Please select anothe contract.

How can we fix this effective start date issue?
