Splitting Receivable GL Account between Revenue and Tax

I have been asked if it is possible to carry the debt for Tax on a separate Receivables line type. Most of the documentation I have read has stated the broad accounting as

Dr    Receivables

Cr    Revenue

Cr    Tax

Cr     Freight

I would like to know if it is possible to set up the receivables transactions in a way that they account like

Dr     Receivables                                      This would be the debit for the Revenue and Freight

Dr     Receivables - Tax                             This would be the debit for the Tax only

Cr     Revenue

Cr     Tax

Cr     Freight
