Duplicate ASNs recieved via EDI for the same Ship to Location id / Ship to org id

Hi guys,

I need a small help to understand :

1.  how duplication of  ASNs takes place.

Currently system doesnt allow receiving an ASN which already existed in 2012, and same shipment number has been sent by other supplier in 2013.

It cant be recieved as it gives error "ASN/INV ALL SQL ERROR" .

2. Also, it would be great if anybody can provide metalink notes which has the process explained about oracle inbound interface w.r.t to ASN received via EDI.
