Reservations placed on Item

Hi,
I have created a sales order for item A (qty-2). A reservation was placed on the order. Pick released the order but did not transact the move order. Now even after cancelling the sales order , I do not see the on-hand reflecting while creating a new sales order. How can I unreserve the reservation placed.
