Clone EAI object manager for EAI development.

ExpertsWe have a development environment in which morethan 20 developers are working.
Due to multiple partial compile requirement for EAI development work we thinking of clone the EAI object manager component and setup a separate object Manager for EAI developers. 
Just heard of this information might be helpful for easy development process.
Can someone already did in past (cloned EAI object manager and CFG setup) please advice the steps to follow.
