Job Costing: Establishing Parent Child relationship in a job

Hi All,
I have a Q related to Job Costing. How can parent child relationship be established for jobs and from where can we view all the child jobs for a parent job?

Is creating parent/child job a good way of handling variations or is there a better way to do it? Thanks for the help. Cheers
