Adjust life of an asset

Hi Gurus,
 We have some assets with 1-Jan-2013 as DPIS with life of 3 years. Recently we realized the life of some of the assets should have a life of 2 yrs and 4 months, some should have 2yrs 5 months,some should have 
3yrs 2 months and so on. But when i try do this adjustment from Assets workbench->Books and try entering 2Yrs and 4 months, system does not allow me do so and restricts the number of months to 0-6-8-9-10-11 months only- there are the only choice available for me in the list of values.

How do i get more values into that list so that i can select a combination of my choice.
