Warning while searching for an account in account master

Hi,
I have a Q around searching for an account in account master. Is a text not sufficient to search for an account number while accessing accounts master from a data entry application (For Ex: P0411 - GL Distribution)? Please refer the attachment. Is there a document on Oracle Support around that? Thank you.
