Vertex Q series for Sales Tax and EBTax for Use Tax

Can Vertex Q Series for Sales Tax and EBTax for Use Tax coexist?
We have existing Vertex Q Series for Sales Tax solution, which works great. We recently upgraded EBS to R12.1.3 and would like to use EBtax functionalityto calculate Use tax . Can Vertex Q series for Sales Tax and EBatx for Use tax calculation co-exist?
