monitoring NDMP backups over FC, configuration

Looking at a system that is doing NDMP backups I thought I would monitor the FC traffic at the same time as the NDMP data movement, and although I can see an NDMP backup running, and NDMP bytes being moved, the FC analytics don't show anything. Thinking this might mean the backup is running over IP I monitored the network but don't see a corresponding amount of data. My question is, can analytics monitor NDMP over FC traffic. This is all for shares - no LUN are being used.

Is there a guide for configuring FC for NDMP backups of ZFSappliances ?
