iSCSI default target group
Hi all,
When you configure iSCSI target LUNs on the ZFS SA series and forget to assign them to a target group, they go into the default target group which is accessible by all initiators. When you have initiators running Solaris Cluster this is a HUGE problem. When you reboot a clusternode having access to such disks, a reservation flag is set. Other clusternodes in a different cluster seeing this flag raises the alarm and shuts down. Dangerous !
Therefore an RFE: I would like the default target group to have the opposite policy from what it is now: members in this group should not be accessible by anyone. This will force a creation of a proper targetgroup before any initiators can use the LUN. Any takers ?
