Backup and recovery options with large databases
DB: Oracle 11.2.03 with ASM
Linux: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.4
Node: 5
RMAN: 10GB connection on two nodes / using 3 channels each node / maxpiece 100g / maxsetsize 512g
Backup timing: 15 hours
DB Size: currently 20 TB, size will be increased to 50 TB in four months.
1. What are my options to backup this database fast and recover fast? I am more concern since the DB going to be double in size.
2. is there a way to restore only one table or tablespace from non-logical(data files)RMAN backup? I can undestand that I can flashback a table but if that table does not exist in flash recovery area.
