 Hi Chris :This thread will address your following error - 

I am trying to apply a patch (12359532) to our EBS instance and it seems to be hanging. The ad worker logs show the following.

Reading language information from applUS.txt ...
Temporarily resetting CLASSPATH to:
 
error during adpatch


Calling /appf12u/cvf12u/apps/tech_st/10.1.3/appsutil/jdk/jre/bin/java ...
Exception in thread "main" java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: There is no process to read data written to a pipe.
at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection.logon(T4CConnection.java:421)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.PhysicalConnection.<init>(PhysicalConnection.java:531)
