Issuing credit memo's for obsolete items (stocking type O)

Hello Everyone,

We just upgraded from JDE Xe to JDE 9.1 and in Xe we were able to enter an inventory impact credit memo for an obsolete Item without our supply chain department changing the stocking type back to "U" or "S". Now in 9.1, when we try to enter a credit memo for an obsolete item we get an error (we allow obsolete items to be returned). We have this occurring several times a day and would like to be able to have these credits processed without errors.

Is this possible? It appears to be from what I have read but I don't know what needs to be changed/updated in 9.1 to allow it to happen.
