Promised Ship Date Field -PPDJ not populating in Work with Shipment Application

Hi

I am looking at issue, Where the Sales orders made today and defaulted Order Date / Pick Data/ promised date / Delivery date as today.

When checked with Row Exit- Work With Shipment application.  Promised date is blank.

My observation this is happening since Pick date/ promised date not keyed in manually in the Sale detail and other reason if the Route is not associated to that particular shipment.

Say if Negotiated ship date is seen in Work with shipment application,  If this is  changed say  PPDJ= 20th Sep 2013,  In the sales order detail line even if the pick date is 21 st Sep 2013, not getting updated.
