Open Enrollment - creating a short process flow to elect default benefits
We're looking for some advice or best practices on this situation... we'd like to setup a short open enrollment process flow for those employees who want to elect exactly the same benefits for next year as they currently have. The idea was employees see their current elections, then preview benefit changes, accept changes, and lastly the confirmation page to print/email thier form. We've been able to get the current elections to default just fine if the employee clicks next through all our usual open enrollment process screens.
However, when we go through the shortened process, the default elections don't flow through. It seems that you have to have the other process flow screens display and the action of clicking next to get the default data to push through. We have an IT network consultant that said he's been part of other open enrollment implementations where this has been successfully done without customization; however, he doesn't know the e1 ESS settings since he is on the hardward side.
