Depreciation value on an asset with Double Decline method are 0 at the end of the asset life years.
Hi,
We currently has a depreciation method using Double Decline where at the end of the asset life years still have value.
We would like to change the method where we can end up the depreciation value exactly at the end of asset life years but still using double decline method.
We tried using formula GREATEST(2/Life,1/Remaining LIfe) where we start using double decline and than automatic by system during calculation will toggle to Straight Line method but here we saw using preojections if our asset has life years : 8 then when we run projections the depreciation value starting from years 4 the amount are not decline but has same value until end of the asset life. THis is not what we want. We want to straight line the depreciation amount at the last period.
