Request running with warning status

I am trying to run a request (Note that it is a custom report) in oracle EBS but it gives me the yellow color WARNING
 log file of the request is attached

also what is the proper date format to be passed to the report RDF file ??
i mean from the parameter form  how to enforce the user to enter a specific format mask for the date ?
on the other hand ,i tried to change the format mask in the trigger after parameter form in report builder but it does not work !!
