How to determine the original asset number of a retired asset

 Hello everyone,

Is there anyway I can check the asset # to those asset that is retired.

Example: I retired one "Asset number  A" with property number.

               Then add "Asset number B" having the same details using  Manual Addition but forgot to place the property number. Depreciation have been ran for succeeding period.

How will I know the  original asset number? Or is there a way to know the previous asset number. I am talking about 4000 assets without property. I just want to get the original and copy the property number in the active/current asset
