How to populate Position Field on Assignment form

We have a shared HR installation  on Oracle Financials. In 2006, we loaded People and their Assignments (no history, only current). Everyday we get 2 files (People and Assignments) from HR department. And we insert/update People first and then Insert/Update Assignments. Our request set uses the given APIs.

 Now we have a requirement to see the Positions on Assignments form. In the form PERWSHRG.fmb, Position field is an LOV. How do we achieve this task? Any help on this issue is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
