Old Invoices Updated by APPSMGR

Since moving to R12, we have had a few old legacy invoices get updated with a current accounting date.  Some even have holds placed on them within the last month.  Does anyone know what may be causing this to happen?  The last updated by user is APPSMGR.  Thanks.
