Asset Details Reporting

Has anyone had any issue with selecting different options to Report By.  I can navigate to AM> Financial Reports> Asset Details> Acquisitions but in the Report Print Options section the Report By field is grayed out.  I have doubled checked security settings and have access to the page, I have added myself to the AM Drill Down list and no change.  I am at a loss for why I don't have the option to select other fields such as Category or Account.
