Hide projects from Project List when user has end dated role on that project

Hi

I am trying to change the behavior of the Project List on the Project Delivery HTML pages.  Projects are showing for our users when that user has an endated (in the past) role on that project.

The user does't wish to see these projects in this screen.

There is a enhancement bug raised for this Bug 6411805 : PROJECT LIST SHOWING PROJECTS FOR WHICH THE USER PREVIOUSLY PLAYED A ROLE

but this refers to another bug where they removed the required functionality Bug 4288801 : GSI:SEARCHING PROJECT BY PROJECT MANGER SYSTEM DISPLAY EX-PROJECT MANAGER

I have looked at the pa_security_extn but this is just for forms - I can actually get this parially working using this but it isn't 100pc accurate
