APPS pwd and DBLinks

We are on a decentralised environment and our EBS and Planning instances are on RAC environment

Recently, we ran into issues with our ATP. Even though all the ATP configurations were good and our collections and Plan runs were succesful, yet we were getting the ATP Processing error. We came to know that APPS password was changed by the DBA team in the due course. We raised a SR and Oracle analyst suggested to drop and recreate the dblinks, which actually worked.

My ques is "Whenever the APPS pwd is changed, do we need to drop and recreate the DB Links". Please advise
