Does manually shrinking a large table/index affect the archive log files?

I am running 11.1.0.7 .0 on HP-UX

I am manually shrinkng a large table by using the ALTER TABLE zzz SHRINK SPACE command.  The table is about 500 GB in size.  Will this activity increase the archive log files?
