deploy agent failed with sshd not running error

I am trying to add target manually. I was at the deploy agent step and it failed with error saying sshd is not running on port 22. See attached image.

I have double checked with our unix admin and he said that ssh is running. I have also checked with our security team and they said nothing is blocking the firewall and I should have access. So, at this point I am not sure where else to start looking for this issue. Gurus, could you please advise? Thank you very much.
