Install ebs R12 on CIFS - Is it Certified or advisable ?

Hello,

Is it certified of advisable to install ebs R12 application modules on the cifs shared file system?
As I see the advantage in using CIFS is that the files are visible to Linux/Unix and Windows as well and this is a shared F.S but what are the disadvantages of using CIFS in an ebs R12 environment and is it certified?
