Unable to Modify/update "Payment Method" for "Prepayment " Invoice

 I have created 2 Invoices with same supplier .

1st Invoice  is Standard Invoice , entered with all mandatory fields and validated . Later i am ABLE to modify the "Payment method" field. 

2nd Invoice is Prepayment Invoice, entered with  all mandatory fields and validated . Later i am UNABLE to modify the "Payment method" field. This Field "PAYMENT METHOD" is GRAYED OUT.

Any help on this is highly appreciated.
