Using discard alongside exception table

Hi all

We'd like to use both a discard file as well as populating a generic (i.e. one for all replicated tables) exception table whenever REPLICAT has an sql apply problem.

I noticed Doc ID 1137367.1 has something similar but it looks like there is a specific exception table for each table in the replicat?

I have attempted to update the replicat PRM but it abends with 

2013-09-30 09:26:58  ERROR   OGG-00204  Oracle GoldenGate Delivery for Oracle, r99bdmig.prm:  Missing Primary Map Statement for EXCEPTIONSONLY Map specification.
2013-09-30 09:26:58  ERROR   OGG-01668  Oracle GoldenGate Delivery for Oracle, r99bdmig.prm:  PROCESS ABENDING.
