Restarting the host server

I have a primary-standbys(2) database system (Oracle11g) in Windows platform getting ready to deploy into production.  Although I prefer not to schedule re-start on all 11g database host server, it is hard to break the 'IT norm '/ tradition.  I need to 'answer' if I should schedule to restart the database and host on a regularly basis.  My thinking is that there isn't necessary to do that anymore.  But if I lose the battle to convince the team, it will either be once a week, or if I get lucky, once a month.  I wonder if I could have you opinions and
