Document sequence assignment

Hi,

I was searching for an answer but found nothing.

Oracle Applications 12.1.3.

When defining a document sequence assignment you must choos the Method. "Automatic" and "Manual" always existed on the form and of course I know how they work. But now it is also possible to choose "Null" method. What is it used for and how it works?
