Packaged Application change globalization

Apex 4.2.3, Database version 11gXE
Is it possible to change the Globalization setting on a packaged application, for example the new Data Reporter, without unlocking it? I want to be able to show £s in my reports instead of $s, but I do not want to unlock the app and therefore lose support/updates.
