Database Smart Flash Cache Storage Redundancy

Hi,
I'm not sure which is the best community to ask this question, but this one seems to have bunch of friendly and helpful people...

Does the storage need to be redundant (i.e. RAID) when using F40 Flash Cards for Database Smart Flash Cache (the non-Exadata kind)?

Asked another way, how would Oracle handle faulty storage for Smart Flash Cache?
