How to analyze Performance issue during patch application

Hi,
How to analyze Performance issue during patch application ?

I'm looking for sql scripts that can help to analyze this kind of situation,
identify  the locks, identify the SQL session causing problem, find the guilty SQL ....

If you have a method to analyze, if you have this kind of scripts, note or document that can help, please share
