11.2.0.3 stand alone asm queries taking a long time

Hi,
We have installed 11GR2 ASM for stand alone database in AIX 6.1 .    I have found that queries take a long time to execute.    It takes around 4-5 mins for an output.

SELECT name, header_status, path FROM V$ASM_DISK   ,  select * from v$ASM_DISKGROUP   takes more than 4 mins.

Please advise on how to fix this issue.
