Journal Import: Cross-Validation Rules for Existing Account Code Combos

We are on EBS R12.1.3.  My question is for the R12.0/R12.1 GL Import, though it's probably relevant in 11i as well.  Suppose an existing, active account code combination violates a cross-validation rule.  If a custom interface loads that account code combination in a GL journal batch to be imported via the seeded Journal Import program, should I expect an EF04 error for that journal line?
EF04 is "This is an invalid Accounting Flexfield. Check your cross-validation rules and segment values."

Or will Journal Import import that journal line successfully?


From testing, I'm concluding the following.  Can anyone verify my assertions?
