Proactive Patching/Recommended Patches/Patchsets for RMAN

I am working with my customer who is running on 11g RMAN catalog.  We had a conversation yesterday about how they applied a patch recently which over wrote some older version of the recover.bsq file.  I am not able to find any MOS notes on recommended patches, CPUs or Proactive Patch notes for RMAN.
Please let me know if you have found any information on this topic.
