Can TDE be disabled / wallet uninstalled? How can encrypted data be exported from PROD to DEV db?

We are about to start using TDE column encryption with Peoplesoft databases using the Oracle Wallet. Currently, the Production data is periodically copied / exported to Development / QA databases for Production Support
Our questions / concerns:
1. If we setup TDE column encryption in one or more columns in a table, and we want to stop using TDE for performance or compatibility issues, what sequence of steps should be used to disable / uninstall TDE encryption? Is it enough to ALTER TABLE unencrypt the columns? What about the wallet for that database? If encryption is no longer being used or wanted, how can the database be disconnected from the wallet / TDE?

Howdy, Stranger!
