Unable to Close Period due to 'Journal Batch unapproved'

Hi all,
I'm trying to close a period, but in the Post Journals form there is a grayed out batch that could not be posted and I am not able to find it when searching for it!
In Post Journals:
- Batch found grayed out 
- Post Status: Not Postable
- Period Status: Open
- Batch Status: Journal batch is unapproved
When trying to check it for posting, I get a Note: "APP-SQLGL-08046: The batch you selected is either not postable, already selected for posting, or being posted."
When I go to the related Operating Unit and trying to find this batch to solve the issue, the batch can not be found although it exists in the LOV!!
