detect lack of space in archiving in standby

Hello,
we have a 11.2.0.3  two node RAC in a Exadata machine in primary role, and another  11.2.0.3  two node RAC in a Exadata machine with physical standby role.

In the primary RAC we detect archiving error (lack of space) looking for ORA-00257 error, when an user tries to connect to database. This test is impossible in standby because the database is not open.

Is there an easy way to detect archiving error in standby RAC? any view?

Help will be gratley appreciated.
